    Coating Thickness Gauges

    Coating thickness gauges read dry-film thickness directly, using magnetic induction on ferrous substrates and eddy-current on non-ferrous metals — many models switching between the two automatically. The range here spans entry-level paint checkers through to dual-principle instruments with onboard statistics and data output, all measuring to ISO 2808. For layer-by-layer checks, a paint inspection gauge cuts a small, precise groove through the coating so that individual layers and total thickness can be read under magnification.
