Metal Hardness
Metal hardness testing measures the resistance of metals to indentation and is essential for verifying material grade, heat treatment and weld quality. Portable methods such as Leeb rebound (ISO 16859) and UCI make it possible to test large, installed or finished parts on site, where benchtop Rockwell, Brinell or Vickers testers cannot reach — with results convertible between the common hardness scales.
The range covers portable metal hardness testers. Learn how rebound testing works in the Metal Hardness Knowledge Base, or match a tester to your component with the Metal Hardness Selection Guide.
