    Rubber Hardness

Rubber hardness testing by the IRHD method (International Rubber Hardness Degrees, ISO 48) measures the hardness of cured rubber using a defined indenter and dead load. Unlike Shore testing, IRHD is well suited to thin samples, curved surfaces and small components such as O-rings and seals, where a consistent contact geometry is essential for reliable results.

The range includes IRHD hardness testers and their accessories. Understand the measurement principle in the Rubber Hardness (IRHD) Knowledge Base, or compare methods and models in the Rubber Hardness Selection Guide.
