Adhesion Testing
Adhesion testing measures how firmly a coating bonds to its substrate — a primary indicator of long-term durability and corrosion protection. Two approaches dominate: pull-off testing to ASTM D4541, which records the tensile force needed to detach a bonded dolly, and cross-cut testing to ISO 2409 and ASTM D3359, which grades adhesion from a lattice scored into the film. Checkline supplies both the pull-off testers and the cross-cut kits needed to qualify a coating system.
