PosiTector 6000 FXS Xtreme Coating Thickness Probe for Rough Surfaces
The PosiTector 6000 FXS Xtreme is a heavy-duty coating thickness probe designed for measuring on ferrous (steel) substrates, especially in harsh industrial environments and on rough, abrasive surfaces. Engineered for demanding applications, it combines high durability, fast measurement speed, and reliable accuracy, even on hot surfaces up to 250 °C (500 °F) where conventional coating thickness probes wear out quickly.
Models
Available in the 6000-FXS1 and 6000-FXS3 models, the FXS Xtreme measures coating thicknesses from 0 to 2000 µm (0 – 80 mils). Its zirconia-toughened alumina wear face provides exceptional resistance to abrasion and wear, making it ideal for continuous use on blasted steel, thermally sprayed coatings, pipelines, offshore structures, bridges, marine applications, industrial fabrication, and protective coating inspection in aggressive environments.
