R50 Series Universal Torque Sensor

The Series R50 torque sensor is useful for a wide range of torque measurement applications. Aluminum housing contains flat surfaces for mounting to a fixture. Jacobs chuck can accommodate a bit, fixture, or sample as required.

A Series R50 torque sensor is shown mounted to a model TSTM-DC motorized torque test stand. The sensor fits into this stand without the need for additional adapters.

AC1007 optional tabletop mounting kit may be used to hold the sensor in place.

Unique Plug & Test® technology allows for interchangeable sensors to be used with a Mark-10 indicator. All calibration and configuration data is saved in the smart connector.

The Plug & Test® connector locks into the receptacle in the indicator when fully inserted. Dual buttons on the indicator housing release the connector for easy removal. Gold plated spring contacts ensure long lasting and reliable connection.

The R50 Series Universal Torque Sensor measures in both directions with a capacity range from 7 to 1150 Ncm. The robust aluminum housing and the ability to use it as a portable as wel as a, in combination with a torque test bench, fixed device make the R50 suitable for a large variety of applications.

The R50 torque sensor contains a Jacobs chuck for measuring samples up to 12.7 mm in diameter (depending on the capacity) and is compatible with the Series 7i, 5i and 3i torque Indicators (sold separately).

Thanks to the unique Plug & Test technology, sensors can be interchanged easily. The internal PCB saves the calibration and configuration of the sensor.
The R50 can, be used in combination with a digital Indicator and a TSTM-DC motorized torque test stand to form a complete torque test system.
