Plug & Test® technology is used with the Mark-10 Series-3I, 5I, 7I Indicators and Series-F Test frames.
To be able to connect user supplied strain gauge load and/or torque cells the PTA/PTAF adapter was developed..

Plug & Test® technology saves all configuration and calibration information within the adapters PCB. This flexibility allows for interchangeability between multiple sensors with any Mark-10 Series F test frame.

The PTA adapter is used with Series-#I Indicators and model F755 and F1505 test frames

The PTAF adapter is used connect to model F105, F305, F505 and F505H test frames and can be used on model F755 and F1505 test frames when an AC1083 adapter is used.

Sensor capacity and resolution may be configured via an included software utility, which includes a library of common force capacities from 0.5 N to 4,000 kN, and torque capacities from 7 Ncm to 57.000 Nm.
When an identification number is configured, it is displayed upon hardware power-up or the test stands display.

PTA	Mark-10 indicator with firmware version 1.0.9 or later The PTA adapter cannot be configured using older indicator versions.
PTAF	Mark-10 indicator with firmware version 2.2.8 or later The PTA adapter can be used with older indicator versions, however, the adapter cannot be calibrated for single-direction load cells, such as load button and thru hole type load cells.
