G1086 COF fixture is shown mounted to a motorized test stand with M5-2-COF gauge.

M5-2-COF gauge is shown mounted to an ESM303 motorized test stand with G1086 COF fixture. Cable attaches to the gauge with a hook, and is routed through a pulley to the 200 g sled.

Model M5-2-COF coefficient of friction gauge can be used for static and kinetic coefficient of friction measurements.

Sled weight is programmable from 100 to 1,000 g, for conformance to various testing standards.

The M5-2-COF's backlit display features large, easily legible digits, static and kinetic coefficients of friction, set point indicators, analog load bar graph, and more.

The G1086 COF Fixture is an integral component of a Coefficient Of Friction (COF) testing setup, which also comprises a COF gauge and/or a test stand.

Designed to work seamlessly with the following test stand models: F105, F305, F505, F755, F755S, ESM303. Adapters are readily available for other compatible models.
In situations where the Series F test stand with IntelliMesur is utilized, the gauge is already integrated, necessitating only the addition of a force sensor.

This fixture is comprised of various components, with the bed constructed from durable 6061 T6 aluminum. Adjustable mounting feet guarantee a level working surface, while an integrated clamp securely fastens the base material in place.

A 200-gram sled is connected to the load cell of the measuring device via a cable, which passes through a low-friction pulley. As the test stand crosshead ascends, the cable is pulled around the low-friction pulley, propelling the sled across the test material. The gauge records both static and kinetic coefficients of friction, depending on the specific gauge in use.

The versatility of the G1086 allows it to be employed across a wide range of materials, and it adheres to the testing standards set forth by ASTM D1894 and other relevant regulations.

For your convenience, the G1086 is available in a comprehensive kit, along with the M5-2-COF gauge, designated as COF-K1.
