The relationship between distance and spot size is 16:1 at the focus point (200mm: 13mm or 8 inches: 0.5 inch). As the distance (D) from the object decreases or increases, the spot size (S) of the area measured by the unit becomes larger. The spot sizes indicate 90%-encircled energy.
