    ULTRASONIC UNDERWATER TRANSDUCERS

    Specialised Transducers for Underwater Applications

Important Note: The TI-25-UW-50, T-074-2906 and T-074-9906 underwater transducer models are now part of the Ultrasonic Underwater Transducer series. All specifications, comparisons, and pricing for this series are provided below.

Checkline's range of single- and dual-element underwater transducers enable accurate thickness measurement of materials such as steel, aluminium, glass and plastics in submerged conditions. These probes are optimised for use with the TI-UMX series underwater gauges, but are also compatible with most other ultrasonic thickness gauges. As standard gauges are not submersible, the instrument remains above the waterline while only the probe is placed underwater.

These 1/2" diameter transducers are available with one or two crystals and feature a robust encapsulated connector with top entry, making them essential for applications that require precise thickness measurements below the surface.

    Key Features:

    • Multiple Frequency Options: Available from 2.25 to 5 MHz, ideal for detecting defects and assessing the structural integrity of submerged materials.
    • Single or Dual Element: Offered in both single- and dual-element versions to suit different applications and gauge types.
    • Purpose-Built for Submersion: Designed to operate reliably in underwater environments, making them valuable for marine and aquatic infrastructure projects.
    • Rugged Construction: Encapsulated design ensures reliability and durability in demanding aquatic conditions.
    • High Damping Options: Available in HD and CT versions, suitable for Echo-Echo measurements and for use with the TI-CMX series when measuring underwater coating thickness.
    Key Benefits:

    • Accurate Submerged Measurements: Provides consistent, reliable readings critical for safety inspections and maintenance of underwater structures.
    • Reliable in Harsh Conditions: Specifically engineered for challenging environments, delivering dependable data where other devices may fail.
    • Versatile Applications: Ideal for ship hull inspections, as well as underwater pipes, cables and structural assessments.
    • Extended Service Life: Built for durability in submerged use, reducing maintenance costs and extending operational lifespan.

The underwater transducers feature a compact, durable design optimised for submerged inspections:

    - The housing measures 107.4 mm in length, 19 mm in diameter, with a front face of 17.4 mm.

    - The connector section adds 8.5 mm, providing a secure top-entry connection.

Available in both single-element and dual-element versions, each with a 17.4 mm face diameter, these probes are engineered to deliver reliable thickness measurements in underwater environments.
