CTM2 Portable Wire Rope Tension Meter

Name: CTM2 Portable Wire Rope Tension Meter
SKU: 127219

2 Models available
CTM2-2.000 - 1000 kg / 10 kN / 2000 lb
CTM2-10.000 - 4500 kg/ 45 kN/ 10000 lb
Measures cables with a diameter from 4,75 mm to 25,4mm (1 inch)

The CTM2 Wire Rope Tension Meter quickly measures tension in zip lines, wire ropes, wire guardrails, guy lines, guy wires and overhead wires. It installs quick and easy and is ready for measuring in seconds. The digital load cell is highly accurate and this wire rope tension meter requires no lookup or correction tables.

Quick and easy to use Wire Rope Tension Meter
The CTM2 can be placed on a cable, measure its tension, and removed in under five seconds! There are no complex lookup tables, no conversion charts. The operator can quickly select from 20 different cable sizes and types stored in the CTM2's memory.
The Check-Tensioning mode graphically displays the current and target tensions for extremely quick setting of line tension. Even the infrequent battery changes are quick.

Broad Application
The CTM2 can be used for many applications. Typical applications include tower and stack guy wires, pretensioned wire barriers, bridges, elevators, winch ropes, prestressed concrete, fall arrest systems, aircraft cables and utilities.

Calibration load may be changed if desired. Higher calibration loads are limited by max. capacity of the sling. If the desired wire size/type does not appear, the customer may supply a 10 ft. sample of wire to determine if a custom calibration sling can be created (non-returnable). Consult the factory for details.

Available Sheave Sets

4 Sheave sizes are available.

Code L: Sheave for cables from Ø4.75 mm to Ø6.5 mm /- 3/16"- 1/4"
Code P: Sheave for cables from Ø4.75 mm to Ø12.7 mm - 3/16"-1/2"
Code S Sheave for cables from Ø6.5 mm to Ø19 mm - 1/4"- 3/4"
Code T: Sheave for cable from Ø12.7 mm to Ø25.4 mm - 1/2"- 1"

For most applications one sheave set for the entire assortment of wire tension will be sufficient.
If you need to check tension in both Ø4.75 mm - 3/16" and Ø25.4 mm - 1" rope, then they should order 2 sheave sets. Code P & Code T.

The operator must use the appropriate sheave set for the wire size and calibration stored.
Changing sheaves sets takes about two minutes with the included wrench.

OPTIONAL:
CTM2-10000-PP
CTM2-10000 Cable Tension Meter, with 2 sets of sheaves (P,T) and case, Pre-Calibrated with 16 calibrations.
