    Testex Press-O-Film Replica Tape – Surface Profile Measurement

    Replica tape for measuring the surface profile of blasted steel

    Testex Press-O-Film Replica Tape provides a simple method for measuring peak-to-valley surface profile. The tape consists of a layer of compressible foam affixed to an incompressible polyester substrate. When burnished against a roughened surface, the foam forms a reverse replica of the surface profile.

    The resulting replica can be measured using a compatible precision micrometer or PosiTector RTR Replica Tape Reader to determine the surface profile height. The physical replica can also be retained as a permanent record of the measured surface.

    Checkline supplies Coarse tape for surface profiles from 20 to 50 µm (0.8 to 2.0 mils), X-Coarse tape for profiles from 38 to 115 µm (1.5 to 4.5 mils), and Optical Grade X-Coarse tape for use with PosiTector RTR 3D. Each carton provides 50 impressions.
