G1058 Universal Cap Grip

G1058 is a universal grip for pull testing and torque testing applications. Adjustable serrated metal posts accommodate a variety of sample shapes and sizes.

The G1058 Universal Cap Grip is designed as a holding fixture for torque and pull tests.
Typical applications like bottle cap torque testing, if required with AC1029 Axial Compensator, or pull testing where test samples are clamped in a fixed position.
This clamp can be used as a stationary and as a moving clamp in a test application.

The fixture consists of a clamping section with a rubberized knob to tighten and loosen an ACME screw.
The business end consists of 2 bars with a matrix of threaded holes with serrated steel posts that can be placed in a position that is required for the test sample.
Closing the jaws will clamp the sample. The range for clamping samples is 5.1 - 89.0 mm, capacity for torque is 11,3 Nm, and 250 N for Force measurements.

As an option there are 3 different length sets of rubber edge posts available, CT004/005/006.

The grip can be used in combination with a torque sensor (R50), the TT03 torque gauge or in a test stand for torque or pull testing.

The grip features a hex tail with internal thread to permit use in a chuck or for mounting to a force gauge or force test stand.
Optional adapters available to mount the G1058 grip are, among others, G1055, for securing the G1058 to a test stand base and the G1082 swivel adapter.

A #10-32 M/M stud with jam nuts is included with this grip.
