QuintSonic-T Coating Thickness Gauge

Made in Germany

Important Note:

The QuintSonic Thickness Gauge has been discontinued and replaced by the QuintSonic-T. All specifications and pricing shown below refer to the current model.

The QuintSonic-T is an advanced ultrasonic coating thickness gauge designed for precise, non-destructive measurement of single and multi-layer coating systems. It is capable of measuring up to eight individual coating layers in a single operation, making it suitable for complex coating structures in laboratory and industrial inspection environments.

The instrument supports measurement of polymer coatings such as paints, varnishes and synthetic materials, as well as glass, ceramic and metallic coatings on a wide range of substrates. In addition to coating measurement, the QuintSonic-T can also be used for wall thickness measurement.

Key Features:

  • Multi-layer ultrasonic measurement: Measures up to eight coating layers in a single measurement cycle
  • Ultrasonic A-scan visualisation: Displays the ultrasonic signal and measurement parameters simultaneously on screen
  • Sensor-integrated signal processing: 32-bit digital signal processing (SIDSP®) integrated directly in the sensor
  • Touch-screen operation: Intuitive user interface on an industrial tablet for fast parameter adjustment
  • Integrated data handling: Structured measurement data with on-device report generation(PDF) and export to Excel

Key Benefits:

  • Accurate measurement of complex coating systems: Enables reliable analysis of multi-layer coatings without damaging the sample
  • High inspection efficiency: Fast measurement cycle and immediate signal evaluation reduce inspection time
  • Clear result interpretation: Simultaneous display of A-scan and parameters improves measurement confidence
  • Suitable for harsh environments: Rugged design for industrial and field use
