Digital low-tension measurement in restricted-access areas

The ZEF Digital Tension Meter measures low tensions in running yarns, fibres and fine wires. Its slim 43 mm filament guide and small guide rollers make it particularly suitable for measuring points where access is restricted. Three models cover measuring ranges from 0.5 to 200 cN.

A trigger-operated roller shifting mechanism simplifies positioning the running material between the guide rollers. The backlit colour TFT display offers three measurement views and rotates automatically in 90° steps for convenient reading in different measuring positions.

Automatic zero adjustment, adjustable electronic damping and selectable measurement units support consistent operation. The instrument stores one factory calibration curve and up to three customer-specific calibration curves for different materials.

All three models are factory-calibrated using PA (polyamide) monofilament, Ø 0.12 mm. This calibration material is suitable for approximately 95% of applications. When the measured material differs significantly in diameter, rigidity or shape, customer-specific calibration is recommended. A sample of approximately 5 m of the customer's material is required.

When ordering a non-standard roller configuration, specify the model and roller code, for example ZEF-200-K. Standard rollers require no additional code.
