The PCWI Compact Pulse Porosity Detector is fully adjustable, has regulated 'pulsed' output up to 20kV, 40kV or 60kV. All pulse models can be used for porosity and holiday testing of carbon impregnated coatings such as carbonated rubber, thick coatings such as rubber linings and on ‘plastic’/fibreglass type coatings likely to become electrostatically charged.
Conforms to: ASTM G62-87 (1998), NACE RP0274-98, NACE RP0490-2001, NACE RP0188-99, ASTM D4787-93 (1999), JIS G-3491, JIS G-3492, ANSI/AWWA C214-89, ANSI/AWWA C213-94, ISO 2746:1998 & AS3894.1-2002
Regulated 'pulsed' output is fully adjustable. Ideal for use:
- In moist conditions
- On wet coating surfaces
- On contaminated coating surfaces
- On carbon-impregnated coatings, i.e. carbonated rubber
- On "plastic'/fiberglass type coatings likely to become electrostatically charged
- Coating thickness range: 6 to 1000 mils (150 to 25,000µm) with the PD High Voltage Pulse Holiday Detector. |

Used for detection of coating porosity (pinholes or holidays) in dielectric (insulation type) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete.

The P20 and P40 can be delivered as an Industrial Kit or as a Pipeline Kit. The P60 is only available as an Industrial Kit. A description of what is included can be found below:

Holiday Detector (P20, P40 & P60) with clip-on power pack, 10-hour charger, spare battery pack (P60 model only), probe handle with 79" (2m) long cable, 2.4" (60mm) connector for flat brush electrodes, 22' (7m) long ground cable with clamp, fan brush, 10" (250mm) wide flat brass wire brush, 18" (450mm) long probe extension, air-operated earphones, shoulder and waist harness, carrying case , operation instructions with conformance certificate.
Pipeline Kit
