 Description

Merlin TGI detects single or multipane toughened glass. The TGi can easily indicate whether glass is toughened or not and can detect toughened glass in both panes from one side. When the instrument is placed against the pane and the red button at the top of the gauge is pressed, 2 lines indicate analysis of single pane glass and 4 lines indicate double pane glass. Example 1: Single pane glass - Line A is the surface on which the Merlin TGi is placed. - Line B is the back wall of the pane. Example 2: Double pane glass - Line A is the surface on which the Merlin TGi is placed. - Line B is the back wall of the first pane on the inside. - Line C is the surface on the inside of the second pane. - Line D is the surface on the outside of the second pane.

 Measurement modes

1. Single Skin - Normal Both lines A and B remain blue 2. Single Skin - Toughened Line A remains blue, line B changes colour 3. Double Glazed - Both Panes Normal Lines A, B, C and D remain blue 4. Double Glazed - First Paine Normal, Second Pane Toughened Lines A, B and C remain blue, line D changes colour 5. Double Glazed - First Pane Toughened, Second Pane Normal Line A remains blue, line B changes colour, lines C and D change colour together (not independently of each other) 6. Double Glazed - Both Panes Toughened Line A remains blue, line B changes colour; lines C and D change colour separately (ie independently of each other).
